GrowCookShare delivers another successful Christmas lunch
68 local residents sat down for a sumptuous Christmas lunch prepared and served by the amazing GrowCookShare team. Using some of our own produce plus donations from many local traders and shops helped to generate the spirit of Christmas. Andrew Brigden donated vegetables; the Co-Op in Borough Street donated mince pies and other goodies; Marble Property Services donated miniatures of Whiskey and Baileys to keep the festive spirit alive. Entertainment was kindly provided by boys and girls from Shardlow Primary School who sang Christmas carols between each course. However, most important of all, the wonderful volunteers donated their time so that other people could enjoy a traditional Christmas lunch with their friends. The feedback from everybody was overwhelming praise for the food, service and entertainment. A big well done and thank you to everybody involved.
