CDVC Accounts Officer – Vacancy
We have a vacancy for an Accounts Officer as per the attached job description. Experience in accounts work involving all aspects of sales ledger, purchase ledger, banking, payroll, spreadsheets and nominal ledger to trial balance stage is essential. This is a part-time position of 7.5 hours per week and is based in the C.D. Volunteer Centre office. Applications should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday 4th December. FINANCE OFFICER (Job Description)
All Financial Administration within the organisation.
Create and maintain a minibus database recording all customers, journeys undertaken, invoices sent, and payments received (Operational Spreadsheet).
Production of all Sales Invoices on a weekly, monthly and/or ad hoc basis.
Ensure all Sales Ledger and other payments are received within the stated 30 day period or when required.
Payment of all suppliers, including all Community Bus Scheme costs, utilities, stationery, and vehicle fuel costs.
Banking and reconciliation of monies received together with bank account statement reconciliations.
Payment of all wages, PAYE, pension fund contributions and provision and submission of all related statutory requirements in their required timescales.
Designated signatory on bank account in accordance with the bank mandate (currently one of two).
Nominal Ledger account balances reconciliation as required – quarterly and annual including end of Financial Year Accounts balances. Processing monthly journal entries as required.
Provision of quarterly Trial Balances and Detailed Nominal Ledgers to ‘Accountant’ for production of regular financial accounts.
Provision of required statistics from statutory bodies particularly the Leics. County Council.
Implementation and maintenance of new software systems including purchase of relevant new hardware.
Archiving of old records, and creation and maintenance of new IT filing systems.
Resourcing of suppliers relevant to the Volunteer Centre requirements. e.g IT, Stationery. Fuel.
Create and provide all Hospital Transport statistics/reports when necessary.
Liaison with Transport Co-Coordinators as required.
Provision of all financial information required for annual audit in conjunction with the ‘Accountant’.
Organise/assist with fund-raising/publicity events where applicable.
Regular meetings with Treasurer (frequency to be agreed).
Carrying out such duties as directed by Trustees through the Treasurer.
